Real Heroes: Honoring Silent Generosity

March 2023, Richardson, Texas:   The Richardson Real Heroes Program was conceived and founded in 2010 by the Richardson Coalition to recognize “unsung heroes” benefiting Richardson. The program has been operated by a separate self-governing committee with financial support of the Richardson Coalition for twelve successful years. The program has honored dozens of individuals who have made great contributions to our Richardson community.  

With the blessing of the Richardson Coalition, the time is right for this program to spin-off and stand on its own as an independent organization. The Real Heroes Program has been established as a separate Texas company (Texas LLC) and has applied to the IRS for 501 (c)(3) status. As part of the transition, the Real Heroes Committee has created new branding for the program.

 The Richardson Coalition wishes the Richardson Real Heroes Committee well in continuing the legacy of recognizing the gifts given so freely by the multitude of volunteers in Richardson. Their contributions will continue to be recognized by the now independent Richardson Real Heroes Organization.
