March #2 2025 – Trash Bash

Free Trees and Recycling at Richardson’s Trash Bash 2025
The City of Richardson’s annual Trash Bash isn’t just about picking up litter—it’s also a great opportunity for residents to get free trees and safely dispose of hard-to-recycle items like old documents, electronics, and household waste. If you’re looking to improve your yard with native plants or clear out clutter in a responsible way, this event is for you.
The event will take place in two locations this year. Electronics recycling and document shredding will take place at The Heights Church on Renner Road. All the other offerings will take place at First United Methodist Church on Central Expressway. Please not carefully where each service is offered.
How to Claim a Free Tree
One of the highlights of Trash Bash is the Richardson Replants program, which offers free trees to residents on a first-come, first-served basis. This initiative encourages the community to plant more native trees, helping to improve air quality, provide shade, and beautify neighborhoods.
To claim a free tree:
- Arrive early, as supplies are limited.
- Visit First United Methodist Church, 503 N Central Expressway, Richardson, Texas.
- Trees are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
By taking home a free tree, you’re not just enhancing your yard—you’re also contributing to a healthier and greener Richardson.
Shredding and Recycling Drop-Off
Trash Bash also provides a secure and eco-friendly way to dispose of documents and unwanted electronics. This will be at The Heights Church on Renner Road.
